There is no doubt the just concluded ZIMSA awards, Zimbabwe South Africa Gospel Music awards was successful, but like every other awards ceremony is never short of drama. Awards are always destined for two sides. The winners and the losers, and the fact remains no one wants to be on the losing side.Well that justifies the rejection and drama always seen by the losing side.
That was exactly the scene at the award held in AFM Church Brakpan South Africa. Our sources gathered that the awards started with all smiles and photos being taken by the attendants, but as the event progresses the mood began to swing.
The Drama started when the video of the year and videographer of the year were awarded to two separate individuals. With many claiming it’s impossible for a video of the year to be different from the videographer of the year, but with all due respect, special thanks will always go to the producer of the event and congratulations to the both winning and losing side.
Like many awards, some argued that the winners dont deserve the awards while others also raised the issue of the awards votes being rigged, but the organizers and the CEO of LEE MUSIC MANAGEMENT disputed all claims and declaring the award a success. According to the organizers the award was nothing but a success story.
We congratulate the organizers and Mr. Lee for putting up such a beautiful event to celebrate people who had worked hard through the pandemic year to put out music to the listening pleasure of Zimbabweans in South Africa and beyond.
On our Next edition we will bring your detailed interviews from the winning and losing sides, as well as an intake from the producer of the award ceremony Mr. Lee.
Below are the List of the Winners
